BRUSSELS – Representatives from a wide variety of investment firms have signalled support for collaborative industry-wide efforts seeking increased alignment of due diligence frameworks with the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains in the Garment and Footwear Sector.

As a way of formalising this, the relative investment community has sent a statement to the European Commission outlining its backing for the collaboration between the Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC), Textilbündnis and the Dutch Covenant which has sought to establish a common reporting framework and increased transparency in the supply chain.
