BRISTOL – Labour Behind the Label (LBL) has launched a campaign to warn shoppers against getting swept away with ‘Black Friday’ spending and inadvertently condemning garment workers to an increase in exploitative working conditions.
The NGO describes Black Friday as a ritual which encourages consumers to “fight over products they don’t even need, many of which will end up unused, unworn, unloved.”
